Note to Macintosh users: We have received many requests for a Macintosh version of First Cup of Java. If someone can provide the information, we can at least point to it. For information about the Apple implementation of the Java platform, see Apple's MRJ page(outside of the tutorial). Please tell us if you find any other good sources of information for Mac programmers.
The two sections listed here provide detailed instructions for compiling and running your first program. Choose the section according to the operating system that you are using.

Your First Cup of Java (for Win32)

These instructions are for users of Win32 platforms, which include Windows 98, Windows 95, and Windows NT.

Your First Cup of Java (for UNIX)

These instructions are for users of UNIX-based platforms, including Linux and Solaris.
