Generalities

• I was born in Bologna (ITALY), the 12th of January 1966;
• I currently live in the historic centre of Bologna, very close to the most worderful pubs of the town;
• I work as full professor in Computer Science at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, unfortunately a bit far from home, but definitely in a great research environment.

Studies

• High-School Degree at the "Liceo Scientifico A. Righi" of Bologna, in 1985;
• Laurea in Electronic Engineering at the University of Bologna, in 1992;
• PhD in Computer Science at the University of Bologna, in 1997;
• Reseach Associate in Computer Science at the University of Modena, from 1996 to 2001.
• Professorship Abilitation in Computer Science, July 2000, University of Pisa
• Associate Professor in Computer Science, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia,Faculty of Engineering of Reggio Emilia, March 2001.
• Full Professor since November 2010.

Hobbies

• Playing piano (when nobody can hear the terrible noise I usually produce);
• Mountain bike riding over the week end (if the 200-meter hills around Bologna can be qualified as mountains) and walking over the week (I walk not less than 4km per day);
• Theater. I mean: acting.
• Taking care of my children (which, as of now, takes most of my free time)
• Reading science and science fiction books.
